Dos Mariposas. Two butterflies. Two sisters. A combination of two individual talents. Their love for nature stems from their Mid-western roots and a creative spark nurtured by their parents. Dos Mariposas jewelry is the combined enterprise of two sisters and was developed as a result of visiting the Iowa State University Reiman Garden Butterfly Center. We design jewelry using naturally expired butterfly wings from ISU, Wild-Connections Butterfly Farm and Nature Center and other butterfly gardens from around the United States.

Each of our designs is created exclusively by Dos Mariposas. While many pieces are classic in nature, our creations continue to evolve-all are original and timeless. To aid the fragile elegance of the butterfly, flower or leaf, we have preserved each in glass-like resin. Our wish is to increase the awareness of our natural surroundings and to foster a love and appreciation for what nature has provided.

We encourage everyone to set a portion of their yard or garden aside for a butterfly garden. If you need help planning, the International Butterfly Breeders' Association is an ideal source for information or contacts.
